Amazon and Diane von Furstenberg Are Making It So Easy to Shop Women-Owned Brands

Diane von Furstenberg and Amazon are promoting female-owned businesses this International Women’s Day.

The shopping behemoth and DVF are partnering to shed light on female entrepreneurs, their stories and their products across Amazon’s channels leading up to March 8. (If you need us, we’ll be over here cheering them on.)

In honor of the meaningful day, customers can shop products from women-owned small businesses like n:philanthropy and Piccolina, by visiting the Amazon x Women in Charge website. The design icon even selected some of her favorite female-authored books to be included in the selection.

Of her new partnership, von Furstenberg said, “I am thrilled to work with Amazon to highlight women-led businesses and share their stories with millions of Amazon customers in celebration of International Women’s Day. As part of this first-of-its kind initiative, I’m also excited to launch an exclusive collection of #InCharge merchandise available to Amazon customers during Women’s History Month.” She created a slew of exclusive new styles, including a necklace, T-shirt and tote, all of which will be available exclusively on Amazon.

The DVF-designed tote is simple but powerful in its message. It’s a black cotton magazine tote ($55) that’s great for groceries or your commute, with the words “InCharge” emblazoned across it in von Furstenberg’s own handwriting. The necklace, which comes in elegant gold brass, features the same script and is super cute. So is the shirt, which is a well-cut white T-shirt ($48) with the InCharge message and a heart. It comes in sizes XXS to XL. Wear it with slacks, wear it with a floral skirt, wear it with pretty much anything and know you’re supporting women who strive for more.
