Looks like an eye for design runs strong in the von Furstenberg family. Today marks the launch of a new line within the DVF brand designed by Talita von Furstenberg, granddaughter to the one and only Diane. The aptly named TVF for DVF is chock-full of fun, flattering and fresh pieces we're definitely adding to our summer wish list.
Diane von Furstenberg’s Granddaughter Joins the Family Biz with a New Line, TVF for DVF
The inaugural collection from TVF for DVF features 23 pretty pieces that are basically begging to be worn to a garden party. The delicate floral prints and flirty ruffles have a notably feminine appeal without feeling too prim or precious.
“DVF, my mom, and my other grandma have always told me that confidence is key, and that when you feel really strong in something, that’s when you look the most beautiful. That’s really what I wanted to get with TVF: simplicity, beauty, and something you can feel really confident in,” Talita told Vogue.
As it turns out, the line has been a long time coming, despite the fact that Talita is only 19 years old and currently halfway through her undergrad studies. "Even since I was literally six years old, I’ve been asking my grandma if I could design TVF for DVF.” It may have taken 13 years of asking, but the line is finally here.
Pieces range in price from $128 for a weekend-ready smocked tank top to $298 for a button-front midi dress or the purple tiered mini above. In between is a series of easy printed dresses (most of which are bra friendly, hurray!), floaty cropped blouses and breezy silk skirts, all of which are available in sizes XXS through XL (00 through 14).
One thing you won't find, however, is the trademark DVF wrap dress. Talita plans to save that iconic silhouette for her fall collection (presumably with a few tips and tricks from grandma).
