Kate Middleton’s Wedding Dress Designer, Alexander McQueen, Wants to Feature Your Art on Instagram

First, the team at Alexander McQueen captivated us with Kate Middleton’s wedding dress (and many gorgeous pieces since), and now the British fashion house is coming together to inspire creativity during this difficult time.

Today, the label invited fashion enthusiasts to indulge in their artistic side while social distancing with a challenge to sketch, color or paint a particularly ornate piece from the Autumn/Winter 2019 collection.

On the Alexander McQueen Instagram, the fashion house addressed “McQueen creators,” explaining that, “Each week we will be asking you to be part of our creative community, working together from home on a series of projects; sometimes with some inspiration from the McQueen team and collaborators in the form of digital tutorials.”

The caption went on to say that this week’s challenge hinges on a series of photos of the Rose dress from the Autumn/Winter 2019 collection.

The McQueen team encouraged fans to, “Find your sketchbook and chosen materials. Screenshot the picture you’d like to sketch from the upcoming series of images. Sketch, colour or paint your favourite image .Then take a picture and share your final piece on Instagram by tagging @AlexanderMcQueen [and] #McQueenCreators to be featured on our channel.”

That’s right: If you have some spare time on your hands and feel like distracting yourself with a creative project, you could potentially be featured on the Alexander McQueen Instagram account—that is as long as you share your creation by Monday, April 6.

Well, we know what we’re doing this weekend…
