A-Rod Gets Super Candid About Jennifer Lopez’s Golden Globes Loss

Sure, Jennifer Lopez didn’t win a Golden Globe award at last night’s 77th annual ceremony, but she’s still a “champion” in Alex Rodriguez’s eyes, according to this sappy heartfelt tribute on Instagram.

Shortly after the awards show, the retired professional athlete, 44, honored his fiancé, 50, who was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role as Ramona Vega in Hustlers.

Although the award went to Laura Dern for Marriage Story, that didn’t stop Rodriquez from celebrating J.Lo’s accomplishments on his personal Instagram account.

He shared a photo of Lopez and wrote, “Jen, it doesn’t take a trophy, medal, or plaque to identify a true champion. To millions of young women who have watched you and have been inspired and empowered to do amazing things in their lives, you are a champion.”

A-Rod continued to gush over the Hustlers star, adding, “For countless musicians, dancers, actresses, and performers who have seen and emulate your passion, drive and work ethic to find their own success, you are a champion. To your children, your family, your coaches, your staff, and your extended family, you are a champion. To everyone whose lives you enrich daily, you are a champion. And don’t you ever forget it.”

We can only imagine how he’d react if she’d won.
