Adam Levine Just Debuted a Bold New Hairstyle—and His 'Voice' Co-Stars Have Thoughts

Voices aren’t the only thing turning heads this season on The Voice. Season 27 kicked off its playoff rounds on Monday, April 28, and while the performances were certainly attention-grabbing, it was Adam Levine’s new hair that had fellow coaches John Legend, Kelsea Ballerini and Michael Bublé doing a double take.

The Maroon 5 frontman debuted a bold new hair color during the show, and his fellow coaches were left scratching their heads over how exactly to describe it. “When we showed up today, Adam’s new hairdo [was] the talk of the town,” Bublé said in a confessional, per Us Weekly. “Listen, I don’t want to talk out of school but there’s a debate backstage of what color that is.”

Ballerini offered a few ideas. “You could call it blonde. You could call it silver,” she said, per the outlet, before adding, “I feel like gray is not an appropriate term to put in that collection.”

Legend even chimed in with a theory of his own about Levine’s transformation. “He took this OG thing very seriously. He was like, ‘Maybe I should come back with actual gray hair to denote my OG status,’” the EGOT winner said.

As for the final verdict? Levine himself cleared it up stating, “It’s more of a platinum ice kind of white color.”

While he didn’t say whether there was a deeper reason behind the sudden switch, Levine did recently tease what’s next once Season 27 wraps. Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he confirmed that new music and a tour are on the horizon.

“I cannot divulge all the details, but the details are, basically, roughly, there's a song coming, a single coming at the end of the month-ish,” he shared. “Album is coming over the summer. Non-specifically, around the summertime. And then even more non-specifically, there is a tour coming in the fall-ish.”

Looks like there are a lot of changes on the way.
