How to Arrange Flowers: 3 Simple Tips for Floral Arrangements

Turns out, organizing flowers for a bouquet is a bit more involved than just sticking them in a pretty vase. But thanks to the experts at It'sByU, we’ve got a few simple tricks up our sleeve that make it easy to create your own gorgeous arrangement.

Tip 1: Cut the stems at an angle while they’re immersed in a bowl of lukewarm water.

This helps the flowers absorb more moisture, aka live longer.

Tip 2: Arrange the flowers in your hand first by crisscrossing the stems.

Take two stems and create a tight X with the flowers right up next to one another. Then repeat with a third stem crossing over the second and so on, rotating as you go, until you’ve used as many flowers as you’d like.

Tip 3: Use a rubber band as a third hand.

Secure a rubber band around the stems to keep everything in place and free up your hands to tweak and adjust your buds. When you’re satisfied with how everything looks, simply snip the rubber band and place your beautiful bouquet in its vase.
