If you a) Acquire throw pillows the way some gals acquire shoes, and b) Live for treasure hunting the hallowed aisles of Marshall’s, TJ Maxx and HomeGoods, then we have a rather life-changing announcement to bring to your attention.
HomeSense, a popular bargain decor joint across Europe and Canada (and sister store to the TJX Cos. family), is headed our way, with its first U.S. location to open doors in Framingham, Massachusetts, at the end of the summer, followed by a handful more openings nationwide this fall.
According to its CEO, the U.S. HomeSense spin-off plans to differentiate itself both from HomeGoods and its European counterparts—but exactly what that means is yet to be revealed. Judging from the HomeSense Instagram account, we’re expecting (and hoping and praying) to see a mix of furniture and accessories, with more of a modern and contemporary vibe compared with HomeGoods' more traditional aesthetic.
One thing we know we’ll find for certain? The same euphoria-inducing price tags. (The average accent pillow goes for about $30.) Until then, we’ll wait with bated breath.
