I’m talking AC cranked down to 60 degrees in the summer and the window cracked open in the dead of winter. When it comes to bedding, I don’t mess around either—I need sheets that can keep me cool and comfortable. Enter the Buffy Breeze Eucalyptus Sheet Set, a product that promised to help me stay cool and dry all night long, no matter the reason. And spoiler alert: it delivered.

First Impressions: A Luxurious Feel

From the moment I unboxed these sheets, I was impressed. The fabric is made from eucalyptus (lyocell) and feels like the perfect blend between crisp cotton and silky satin. They remind me of high-end sateen sheets, and they have just the right amount of sheen to make slipping into bed feel like a little luxury at the end of the day. The best part, however, is that Lyocell is research-backed to be more breathable and it wicks away moisture faster than cotton or linen. They were definitely cool to the touch—and the weight of 120 grams per square meter offered an exceptionally light and breathable hand (but more on that below).

Cooling: Sweat? Never Heard of It

Over the course of a weekend, I put these sheets to the ultimate test: my nightly battle against overheating. Typically, I’d wake up at least once drenched in a cold sweat, but with the Buffy Breeze sheets, that never happened. The moment I started to feel even a hint of warmth, the sheets seemed to regulate my body temperature, bringing me back to a blissfully neutral state. It was such a relief knowing that I wouldn’t have to strip the bed and toss everything in the wash immediately—a common occurrence with other bedding.

To that end, these sheets not only kept me cool but also allowed me to go days without feeling the need to swap them out. I’m confident that I could get through an entire week (maybe even longer) without having to change the bedding—a win for anyone who dreads laundry day as much as I do.

Comfort and Style: Crisp, Soft, and Stunning

One of my pet peeves is when sheets lose their structure after just a few washes, but these had a crispness to them that was soft without being too stiff. They stayed that way throughout the weekend and didn’t show any signs of pilling—a major bonus for my sensitive skin, which often reacts to anything that’s not smooth. Honestly, it felt like I was enveloped in a cool breeze every night.

On the design front, I was thrilled with the color selection Buffy offers (which includes 34 colors and patterns). I chose the butter yellow shade that definitely brought a vibrant pop to my bedroom. The color was rich and deep with a slight green undertone (that the photos online just don’t do justice). It’s the kind of color that instantly brightens up the room and lifts your mood every time you see it.

Durability: Built to Last

While I haven’t had a chance to wash them yet, Buffy’s site mentions that the sheets have been third-party tested to resist fading and piling while withstanding 255+ washes (that’s about seven years of use!), so I’m not worried about them holding up over time. If they’re as easy to care for as they are to sleep in, I’m sure they’ll be a staple in my linen closet for many years to come.

And while they might be a bit of an investment at $156 for a queen set, I’d say they’re worth every penny for the combo of cooling and comfort they offer. I’m definitely keeping these on my bed year-round.
