Hot take: Trader Joe is the grocery store boyfriend of the people. He's always dreaming up unique appetizers, mains, snacks and desserts that can't be found anywhere else—all at a fair price to boot. This month, as we (finally) welcome the start of spring, he’s bringing plenty of seasonal splendor, along with everyday items that deserve a spot in your weekly rotation.

Below, you'll find nine of my favorite new Trader Joe's items to shop this March (all spring-coded), including a Toasted Coconut Mini Sheet Cake and a new addition to the TJ's pretzel family.

1. Ranch Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips

Ranch lovers, this one’s for you. After the success of the Chili & Lime Flavored Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips, TJ’s is upping the ante with a companion snack that swaps spice for a savory blend of buttermilk, garlic powder, onion powder and parsley. Made from stone-ground corn masa, these gluten-free chips are thick-cut and rolled for an additional (and irresistible) crunch. Creamy and herby with a zesty punch, there’s no doubt they’re perfect for solo snacking, but I can’t wait to dunk them in guacamole or stack them on my next ho-hum turkey sandwich.

2. Cannelés

Not sure what to serve at your upcoming Easter or Mother’s Day brunch? Rather than spending hours in the kitchen bent over your stand mixer, opt for something that requires a little less legwork (but still packs major flavor). Known across the pond as Cannelés de Bordeaux in reference to their region of origin, these French-style pastries feature a delicate batter with a chewy, caramelized crust and custardy, vanilla interior. While a homemade batch would set you back days thanks to the required resting time, these single-serve stunners can go from frozen to fondante in a matter of minutes—and will fool even your most discerning diners.

3. Chicken Breast Bites

If you hopped on the protein-everything bandwagon this year, these Chicken Breast Bites will be your weeknight savior. Fully cooked and simply seasoned with garlic powder, salt and pepper, the boneless bites are begging to be tossed on top of a classic Greek salad, thrown into your favorite one-pot pasta or devoured on their own. Clocking in at 22 grams of protein per package, each grab-and-go set includes honey mustard dipping sauce (yum) and a bamboo skewer—because if dinner in the car before the kid’s swim meet is all you have time for, at least you’ll be hitting your daily macros.

4. Vanilla Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate

I love perusing just about any grocery store coffee aisle (that smell!), but the selections at TJ’s are particularly diverse and intriguing. The cold brew coffee concentrate is a frequent flyer fan favorite, and now that same medium roast Arabica base comes infused with natural vanilla flavor. If you’re a vanilla latte girlie, this will absolutely be your jam. And at just $9 per bottle (with eight 12-oz servings in each), just think of all the money you’ll save skipping past the drive-thru.

5. Sweet Onion Style Pretzel Twists

Trader Joe’s has no shortage of pretzel varieties, from soft pretzel sticks to peanut butter-filled nuggets. Now, there are even more options to choose from with the addition of the new Sweet Onion Style Pretzel Twists. Tinged with umami-rich sweet onion seasoning, these crispy, crunchy pretzels converge at the perfect intersection of salty and sweet. Fans of Deep River’s Maui onion potato chips will no doubt be hooked.

6. Toasted Coconut Mini Sheet Cake

I’ve never met a sheet cake I don’t like, and this mini rendition is too cute to ignore when strolling down the bakery aisle. This spring, the Toasted Coconut Mini Sheet Cake joins the ranks as the ninth flavor in the TJ’s lineup (in addition to Dark Chocolate Ganache and Cookies n' Cream). But instead of a batter that relies on buttermilk to add moisture, this version utilizes coconut milk to create a creamy, tender crumb that’s bursting with tropical flavor. Toasted coconut flakes are also incorporated throughout, adding a unique textural component to both the sponge and the cream cheese frosting. It’s delicious on its own, but if you’re serving it to a crowd (or just feel like being fancy), garnish the top with fresh pineapple rings, bananas foster or a simple drizzle of caramel for an undeniable wow factor.

7. Butter Caramel Hard Candies

Call me old-fashioned, but there’s something about a caramel hard candy that just hits the spot. Maybe it’s the rich, buttery flavor that melts on the tongue, or maybe it’s the nostalgia of this grandma-approved classic. Either way, I’m never not in the mood for a creamy caramel treat, and these individually wrapped morsels are perfectly pop-able. Keep some in your purse for an after-school snack, or go old school and dump them in a dish for a deliciously sweet centerpiece to any springtime tablescape or coffee table.

8. Spicy Spuds

It’s a bird, it’s a plane...no, it’s Spicy Spuds here to save your boring, bland breakfast! With a mix of cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, Parmesan cheese and lime, this new frozen side dish will heat up any main, whether you’re serving chilaquiles or eggs over easy. Plus, they couldn’t be easier to make—simply air-fry, oven-roast, or sauté in a skillet for a crispy finish that gives way to a pillow-soft potato interior.

9. Organic Sour Apple Cherry Fruit Leather Wrap

The Trader Joe’s Fruit Leather is a favorite in my house (in fact, it’s hard to keep up with the demand). As a mom, I love that the ingredients are organic and all-natural, making it a great lunchbox alternative to candy or cookies. And the newest spring-coded flavor, sour apple cherry, even has my taste buds intrigued thanks to the surprising pairing of two of my all-time favorite fruits.
