‘Mean Girls’ Toaster Strudel Is Really a Thing (& It Comes with Pink Icing, Obviously)

Step aside, Regina George. Pillsbury is officially making "fetch" happen.

On Instagram, the brand announced the release of their new, limited-edition Toaster Strudel with pink icing, which was inspired by the iconic 2004 film, Mean Girls. The post reads, "And ALL for Gretchen Wieners! [pink heart emojis] Announcing NEW Toaster Strudel with limited edition pink icing. Find these at grocery retailers across the US! @toasterstrudel"

In the photo, we see the Mean Girls Toaster Strudel box, which includes a pic of Lacey Chabert as Gretchen. And underneath it is an updated version of one of her most memorable lines: "I think my father, the inventor of Toaster Strudel, would be very pleased to hear about this."

If you recall, when Principal Duvall tried to get information about the infamous burn book in the movie, Gretchen responded with, "I don’t think my father, the inventor of Toaster Strudel, would be too pleased to hear about this." Well, it looks like the inventor of Toaster Strudel now has more than enough reason to celebrate.

The new breakfast treat officially has two flavors: Strawberry and Cream Cheese & Strawberry

To celebrate this special release, Pillsbury is also having a contest called "Most Fetch Toaster Strudel Icing Sweepstakes," where Mean Girls fans can submit their icing decorations. According to Sweepstakes Official Rules, participants are required to post their most "fetch" Toaster Strudel designs using the pink icing on either Twitter or Instagram. All entries must include #FetchSweepstakes and the handle @ToasterStrudel, and everyone gets up to five entries. Then, on October 3rd (aka National Mean Girls Day), three winners will be selected to receive a personalized video message from Chabert, some Mean Girls apparel and over 52 coupons for the popular snack.

Snag us some of that swag and you can definitely sit with us.
