We’ve been taking product recs from Oprah for years (shoutout to fellow Oprah’s Favorite Things devotees). So, when we heard that she and Meghan Markle can’t get enough of this instant SuperLatte company, which sold more than 2 million lattes in 2022, we had to try it out for ourselves. Meet Clevr, a line of easy-to-make oat milk latte drinks that boast mind-clearing, mood-lifting, wholesome ingredients.

Not only does Clevr make whipping up an oat milk latte a total breeze, but the brand also loads its drinks with adaptogens, probiotics and organic, non-GMO superfoods. Adaptogens are plants that help the body manage stress by supporting the adrenals (aka the glands that control hormonal stress response). Paired with caffeine, which offers an immediate energy boost, adaptogens like ashwagandha, lion’s mane mushroom extract and reishi are purported to help build long-term, sustainable energy over time, soothe and balance the nervous system and reduce anxiety, among other benefits. Probiotics and plant-based ingredients also nourish your gut and body.
On the caffeine front, Clevr will energize you, but it’s not so supercharged that it’ll give you the jitters—three of the five blends contain 40 to 55 milligrams per serving. (The Mayo Clinic suggests getting no more than 400 milligrams per day, which is roughly four cups of standard coffee.)
Clevr’s lattes are also made without added sugar, unlike most lattes you’d buy at a café. Instead, they’re sweetened with monk fruit extract and erythritol. Not only does this ensure that the drinks are lower in carbs and calories, but it also prevents an afternoon sugar crash and makes the drinks safe for diabetics and low-sugar diets. Even better, the powders already contain vegan superfood creamer made from oat milk and coconut cream (which is chock-full of healthy fats and natural sweetness), so you won’t even need to add milk.
Despite their fancy ingredients, Clevr drinks are mind-blowingly easy to make. Just a few tablespoons of mix frothed in water get you a mind-clearing, mood-lifting latte that you’ll actually want to get out of bed for. The mixes dissolve best with hot water, but there’s nothing stopping you from adding a few ice cubes to your drink and enjoying it cold. You can also start with warm water instead if you’d prefer it cold, so the drink doesn’t melt the ice too quickly—just be sure to froth thoroughly. (You can use Clevr’s milk frother, or opt to shake, stir or blend it instead.) The lattes turned out pretty identical to how they’re pictured—and they’re just as creamy and decadent as you’d hope.
Each individual bag of SuperLatte mix contains 14 drinks, and at $28 a bag, that comes down to $2 each. In our experience, an oat milk latte from a café costs about three times that, and that’s without the added health benefits and organic ingredients.

Green tea lovers, this one’s for you. The matcha is organic, stone-ground and imported from Japan. Matcha contains immunity-boosting chlorophyll, L-theanine for focus and a ton of antioxidants. Like the other blends, the Matcha is loaded with high-quality, organically grown Chinese mushrooms that boast immunity- and brain health-boosting properties. It has a sweet, oat-laced aroma, creamy texture and a mild matcha flavor, sort of like green tea ice cream.

Bring on the warm, toasty spices and invigorating black tea. This old-school masala chai is loaded with organic spices, like cardamom, nutmeg, black pepper, cloves and cinnamon. The black tea base is sourced from India and naturally brewed and flash dried. This isn’t your run-of-the-mill, overly milky chai, either: Gear up for a punch of ginger-laced spice that will warm you to your core at first sip.

It’s spicy, earthy and oh-so-wholesome. The single-farm, heirloom turmeric is sourced from Diaspora Co., a brand that pays their farmers more than six times the Fair Trade price. The turmeric is among the world’s most potent; it’s ethically sourced and grown on a family farm in India. The turmeric’s flavor is just warm enough without being overpowering. Turmeric is beloved for its immunity-boosting, anti-inflammatory properties, but we also love this pick since it’s caffeine-free. It’s great for sipping before bed to wind down. No wonder it’s Oprah’s favorite.

We hear you: No tea-based beverage is ever going to replace your morning cuppa joe. Compromise with this organic, antioxidant-rich beverage made with single-origin instant coffee from a sustainable Colombian cooperative. Its toasty, nutty flavor is super satisfying and notes of chocolate and espresso shine through. The flavor is robust enough that it almost tastes like it’s made without creamer, yet it’s impeccably silky and sweetened.

Launched in mid-May, the Rose Cacao flavor is like velvety, floral, grown-up hot chocolate. It’s made with regeneratively grown Ecuadorian cacao, dopamine-boosting mucuna and soothing, aromatic rose petals. The cacao imparts a bold, dark chocolate flavor to the latte, as well as cognitive, mood-enhancing effects. This mix requires more powder and less water per drink than the other blends, so there are only ten lattes per pack instead of 14. We like that it has just enough caffeine (10 mg per serving) for a gentle pick-me-up. It’s limited-edition, so you should probably add it your cart like, right this minute, if you ask us.
