Our Favorite Tacos Are Popping Up in the Design District

bodega taqueria miami design district

Remember when we told you the Design District has become one of Miami’s most delicious neighborhoods? We weren’t kidding: A new restaurant is about to call this stylish place home, and we guarantee you’re going to be happy about it.

Bodega Taqueria y Tequila, the late-night South Beach taco spot with a not-so-secret mescal bar, will pop up in the Design District for six months beginning November 7.

Housed in an adorable Airstream trailer (right across the street from Alice + Olivia on NE First Avenue and NE 40th Street), the outpost will sling a selection of the restaurant’s best-selling items.

The menu has a million choices, so we’re here to help you: Look out for the al pastor tacos with sides of queso and guacamole with chips. Or for less than the price of a fancy latte ($5, to be exact), you can get a ridiculously cheap plant-based vegan “carne asada” made with Impossible, the vegan plant-based protein. It’s too good to pass up.

Sure, someday we’ll be too grown up for Bodega, but that day is not at 1 a.m. after one too many glasses of rosé at Bar Bevy. And now instead of trekking to South Beach, we can get our carnitas and churro fix right here on the mainland.
