The New Sorel x Barbour Collection Is for the Outdoor Lovers (with Style)

That includes three footwear styles: the SOREL x Barbour Callsign Horizon Low GTX ($250), the Daystorm Horizon GTX ($300) and the updated Caribou Horizon GTX ($450), which comes with a reimagined corduroy collar.

Additionally, there’s the SOREL x Barbour Transport Down Wax puffer jacket ($899) made from waxed cotton, which features 80/20 down fill power sure to keep you toasty in chilly temps, along with moleskin hand-warmer pocket bags that will especially come in handy if you forget (or don't like) wearing gloves.

While I adore everything in this collection, my absolute favorite piece is the Daystorm Horizon GTX, a stylish workboot packed with technical features that are a dream for the wet, snowy and muddy conditions we'll soon be encountering. For starters, they're made from 100 percent full-grain leather that is both waterproof *and* certified by the Leather Working Group. They also come with Barbour’s signature Tartan textile tongue and have a lace closure that keeps your feet comfortable and secure as you trudge through even the slushiest conditions. How about the traction, you ask? The lug outsole is made with molded XS TREK Vibram, specifically engineered to provide good grip in wet conditions, while, inside, you'll find a removable Ortholite footbed that promises plenty of cushioning and impact absorption.
