I've always wanted to be one of those people who has a staple collection of jewelry pieces they wear daily and never take off. However, I usually find myself unclasping whichever necklace or bracelet I've put on for the day before showering and winding down for the night, and then simply not remembering to put it back on for weeks. So when I saw that Loveweld offers permanent jewelry that's totally unique, made with high-quality materials *and* allows for charms to be built into their designs, I knew I had to try it. Figuring it was the perfect way to treat myself to something nice ahead of splurging on gifts for everyone else, I stopped by the Santa Monica location of Loveweld to get my new permanent bracelet—here's how it went.

The Loveweld Experience

Loveweld

When I first walked into the studio, I was immediately impressed with just how many options Loveweld offers for chains and charms. When it comes to selecting your metal, there are sterling silver, 14k white gold and 14k yellow gold options. Then for charms, there's everything from initials to birthstones, symbols and sparkling gemstones. And while I went with a bracelet for my design, you also have the option to choose a necklace, anklet or ring (or you can always do more than one!).

I was also happy to see that Loveweld offers pieces in a wide range of price points. There were some sterling silver styles available for as low as $38, while solid gold necklaces started at $248, but there are also some pieces that go up into the thousands—so there's really something for everyone depending on what you're looking for. This is especially great if you plan to head to Loveweld for a special event like a private party with friends or have the brand come to you for your next corporate event, since attendees won't be locked into a certain price point.

After a ton of deliberation, I finally settled on the Juliet chain with a bow charm for my design, because I love the totally unique look of it. It's made with both white and yellow 14k gold, so I can easily wear it with any of my other jewelry. The process was super simple to weld it on, too. It was measured straight on my wrist to get a fit that felt comfortable, but not too loose, and then once the length was perfect, the charm was added and everything was welded together. It didn't take any longer than a couple of minutes and I was ready to go with my new permanent bracelet!

The Jewelry Itself

Loveweld

As far as the bracelet itself, I've only had it on for about a week so far, but I've been loving it. The chain is incredibly lightweight, so I barely notice it's there most of the time, and it's perfectly comfortable to sleep in and wear throughout the day—even to activities like workout classes. Not to mention, it's stayed perfectly shiny after showering with it on, and it shouldn't tarnish even with more wear over time since it's made from solid gold. I do think in the future I may go back and add a second charm on (which is something you can easily do by just setting up another appointment at your local studio) so that if the bracelet gets twisted around one will always be visible—but that's the only change I would make.

Bottom Line: Is Loveweld Permanent Jewelry Worth It?

I'd totally recommend Loveweld for its permanent jewelry experiences—whether you're looking to treat yourself to a pretty piece of jewelry that will last, or are looking for a unique event experience that your friends will surely remember. And don't worry, if you don't happen to be located near a Loveweld studio (although there are a bunch of locations from L.A. to NYC to Washington, D.C and more), you can always shop its high-quality jewelry online, too.
