land's end black friday sale

Come November 1, there's one thing living in my mind—aside from Thanksgiving, that is. The fashionista in me waits all year to score deals on Black Friday. Well, lucky for me (and you), the major shopping event came early this year with the Lands' End Black Friday sale. And the deals are good. You can save 50 percent off sitewide, and an additional 70 percent off clearance items with the code DREAM. I'm talking cashmere under $150 and the best winter jackets for extreme cold, like this maxi coat (was $300, now $210), leather and cashmere gloves (was $90, now $45) that can maneuver a touchscreen and Christmas stockings (was $45, now $35). See something you love? Hurry—things are selling out quick.

Buckle up people, it's getting COLD outside. I was once someone who made an effort for the fashion. But after three blustery winters in New York, I've decided I'm tired of being cold. Once the temperatures drop, the only thing I'm interested in wearing is the longest parka I can get my hands on. So what if I look like a slug, or a sleeping bag? I'll take toasty over cute any day. This maxi down coat comes in three colors, including the very trendy (but in my opinion, very versatile) burgundy. There are also regular, petite, tall and plus size options. If you have any doubts, this parka is rated for -25 to 10 degrees with 600 fill power down. Make it water resistant, wind proof with a faux-fur hood and tons of pockets, and you've got something that'll power you through winter, no problem.

Corduroy is one of my favorite winter materials for its sturdiness and warmth. I recently added a pair of wide-leg corduroy trousers to my closet, and these are begging to be snapped up, too. The wide leg offers a relaxed cut and feel while still looking professional. Sizing is inclusive, ranging from petite to plus size, and the colors are plentiful. If you want to be on-trend this winter, I'd pick up a pair in Hawthorne Green (AKA peridot!).

Cashmere and leather? Under $50? Say less. These gloves have a 100 percent leather exterior and 100 percent cashmere interior. Cozy and durable for bitter, cold, windy days. The pointer finger is also touchscreen friendly so you don't have to subject your hands to the icy temps every time you want to pull out your phone.

I don't know about you, but my favorite winter activity is snuggling up in bed under some cozy sheets with a book and hibernating. Right now, you can save on Lands' End's supima cotton sheet set, which includes a flat sheet, fitted sheet and pillowcase. (Twin to split king sizes available, with personalization.) What is supima cotton, you're wondering? Think super stretchy, super soft, super durable. With a literal dozen colors to choose from, you're going to pick up more than one.

My most prized holiday decoration is my Christmas stocking. Perhaps it's time to start a tradition of your own and pick up one or two of these needlepoint stockings for the mantle. They feature a soft velvet back with festive scenes, like a partridge in a pear tree, nutcracker and a polar express.

Should you not be the parka-to-your-ankles type (or are petite), this puffer still offers 600 fill power down with a more cropped silhouette. The temperature rating is between 0 and 27 degrees, and it's water resistant and windproof. Like its longer cousin, there are pockets galore and a detachable hood with a faux fur trim.

7. Lands' End Tote Bag

Lands' End

If you're looking for a good gift, I can't think of a time someone's turned down a personalized beach bag. This canvas tote comes in a bevy of fun colors and can be personalized with the recipient's initials. Choose a size ranging from small to extra large so they can lug all their essentials onto the sand. The bag will hold up to 250 pounds and yes, there are pockets.

Cashmere is my winter uniform. Layer me up! Because I swear, it really is toasty. Now's your chance to snag a cashmere cardigan for under $150, and there are so many good colors, including florescent green and Glinda pink.

Already added those supima cotton sheets to your cart? Well, throw this sherpa blanket in, too, and it's almost a guarantee you're not leaving your bed till Punxsutawney Phil crawls out of his own hole.
