Amazon always has the best secret scores, but I was stopped in my tracks when I stumbled upon Franco Sarto's Marlina Mule (from $115; $80) on sale for 30 percent off. The exact gold metallic pair of kitten heels was recently spotted on Katie Holmes on the streets of NYC and she looked totally fabulous in her transitional spring fit. So obvi, I can't keep this deal a secret.

Holmes wore her metallic pair as a pop of color that stood out among her black-and-white ensemble. The Rare Objects actress and director paired them with a silky white shirt, black pants with ruffled cuffs, a pair of black tights, a black top-handle bag and a black blazer draped over her shoulders.

As the weather warms up, these 1.6-inch heels with their chic pointed toe, faux leather upper and trendy open cage detailing, make for the perfect shoe to slip on for any occasion. Just dressy enough for an in-office moment or dinner date and casual enough to pair with jeans and a cardigan, this versatile slip-on mule will become a staple in any trendsetter's closet.

I was lucky enough to snag a pair of the Marlinas for myself and can confirm that these kitten heels are both flexible and comfortable, fitting well and molding to my wide feet and bunions. And in the spirit of spring fashion, the shoe is also available in other metallics, neutrals and an incredibly on-trend cherry red, all marked down by 30 percent. If you're hoping to channel Holmes this season, I suggest snagging 'em while you can.
