2018 was the year of the cowboy boot. From runways to street-style shots and the Instagram accounts of the world's most stylish ladies, we couldn't seem to escape that ranch-ready go-to. And while the trend doesn't seem to be going anywhere, we're darn tootin’ excited to try out another another western-inspired staple: Fringe.

In 2019, keep the yee-haw spirit alive with this swingy material. Worn on the back of a suede jacket or dangling from a handbag, fringe is a super-fun statement-maker.
To avoid looking too cowboy cosplay, stick to one fringe piece and keep the rest of your ensemble modern. Think: High-waist jeans with a plain white tee and fringe jacket or fringe-laden boots with a swingy minidress.
Because like wine and chocolate cake, fringe is best enjoyed in moderation.
