final everlane boot hero

It was just a few years ago when sock boots—those ankle-hugging, finely-woven booties that made our legs look so long and lean—took our wardrobes by storm. While they might not be the trendiest style anymore, there is one pair we happily reach for over and over again: the Everlane Glove Boot. And, lucky us, a bunch of chic colors are now on sale for just $80 (down from $115).

The eco-conscious brand debuted its Glove Boot back in 2019 and since then they’ve accrued more than 1,150 reviews and a 4.77/5-star rating, with ten gorgeous hues to choose from. Unfortunately, the classic black, bone white and toffee brown colors remain at full price. But trust us, the discounted styles are every bit as wearable, like the beige-adjacent cumin or gorgeous slate gray. Plus, two shades are even further reduced to just $69 (a chocolatey tobacco brown and surprisingly versatile tumbleweed yellow).

But what makes Everlane’s ribbed bootie different from the pairs (yes, that’s multiple pairs) we already own?

First and foremost, the knit fabric is made from renewed plastic—nine bottles per pair, to be exact—so you can be sure you’re doing your part to keep the planet beautiful. But these boots don’t have that plasticky feeling at all. In fact, the ribbed material delivers a super-flattering, second-skin look and stretches to move with every step. Plus, the boot hits just above the ankle to pair perfectly with cropped wide-leg jeans and all of fall’s skirts. Shout-out to a shoe that nails versatility! One buyer even went so far as to call them the “perfect blend of comfort, style and efficiency.” Another exclaimed, “I'm literally buying them in every color possible!”

We’d be remiss not to point out a few caveats, though. Due to the fact that these boots are knit, they’re definitely not waterproof, so as much as you’ll want to, don’t attempt to wear them on rainy or slushy days. One reviewer also commented that they run narrow, so they might not be not ideal for those with a wider instep.

However, Everlane always offers free shipping on two or more items, so grab two pairs and keep the one that fits best or the color you think is cuter. While you’re at it, grab us some boots, too.
