Cariuma just launched a new sneaker style, and based on the popularity of some of the brand’s other pairs, it’s only a matter of time before it sells out. Last year, Cariuma’s IBI style racked up a 12,000 person waitlist, and the OCA was almost equally as popular.
The sustainable sneaker brand recently announced the launch of its Catiba Pro High—a high top version of its popular skate-inspired Catiba Pro shoe. The sneakers are made to be durable, comfortable and long-lasting whether you’re sporting them to run errands or to take a spin around the neighborhood on your longboard. The upper is made from a soft suede and cotton blend canvas and the sole is totally slip-resistant, thanks to the 100 percent natural rubber material. As for the insole, it features Cariuma’s signature bio-based cork as well as memory foam that’s meant to mimic the anatomy of your foot for arch support and maximum comfort.
The new style comes in three different colorways and features mens’ and womens’ sizing options. As of now, all sizes and shades are available for preorder, and are expected to ship around March 15. But we highly doubt they’ll stay in stock that long, given the buzz these shoes have been generating. “I’ve worn Vans, Chucks, Nike, Adidas and I don’t care what anyone says, these are by far the comfiest, [most] stylish shoes I’ve ever worn,” writes one reviewer. “I have two pairs now and plan on buying more!” adds another.
