After her daughter was born a few years ago, uber-chic Parisian Anne-Sophie Baillet wanted a bracelet customized with her baby’s name to commemorate the occasion. She couldn’t find anything she liked, but instead of throwing in the towel (like I would have), she found an artist who would make a custom piece for her. She loved it, and so did random passersby—enough, in fact, that three and a half years later, Baillet’s company, Atelier Paulin, has a presence all over the world.
Totally customizable and made by hand, Atelier Paulin’s pieces—bracelets, rings, earrings and more—are all hand-shaped from a single precious metal wire.
Starting at $95 (for a single-letter argentium ring), these timeless yet modern pieces are pretty much made to be gifted. Or, if you’re like me and are a bit selfish, you can absolutely get a pair of gold hoops that say your own name. (Yes, that’s exactly what I did and I have exactly zero regrets.)
Just don’t tell too many people because I have a very common name and I want to be the only girl wearing "Sarah" hoops on the subway for a little while.
