What do women want? Personally speaking, as well as after a quick review of what the fashion crowd is posting on socials, women want a tote bag that's sturdy, unique and not crushingly expensive. We've all found it in the Alex Mill Perfect Tote, a monogrammable all-cotton bag that comes in a range of colors and sizes and can be customized with up to three initials.

Martha Stewart has a copy of her new gardening book, her eyelash curlers and fragrance (of course she wears Fracas) and a striped pullover in her emerald-green tote. (The "K" in her monogram stands for Kostyra, her maiden name.)

Kaia Gerber carried the larger version of the tote ($195) on the set of her new project, The Shards. (The better to keep the notes on books she's reading for her book club close at hand.)

And finally, fashion Substacker Becky Malinsky has her Nalgene, a pair of scissors and a sketchbook plopped inside, along with a spare pair of black tights.

The totes come in three sizes: a Daily Tote (10.5 inches tall by 11.5 inches wide, $145), the Weekday Tote (13 inches tall by 13 inches long, $175) and the Weekend Tote (13 inches tall by 17 inches wide, $195). Also, don't sleep on the Perfect Canvas Pouch ($50), a little seven-inch square zippered toiletry bag that doubles as the cutest little clutch

The monogram style is painted two-tone block letters, a style reference to the type of initials on cool old designer luggage from Louis Vuitton (but this in on a cotton tote, so it's witty, not stuffy). Of course, hand customization like this comes at a price—it's $100 extra—and requires a three-week turnaround from order date.

No matter! These heirloom-quality cotton totes are so stylish and versatile, they're worth waiting for. And stashing any- and everything inside, just like today's stylish set.
