7 New Outfits for 7 Days of the Week

Here's how you outfit-plan like a boss

Real talk: You’re busy. Like all of the time. And we’re guessing outfit decisions are about, oh, 47th on your priority list? So we’ve teamed up with Macy’s to put together our favorite looks for every day of the week from their exclusive brand INC International Concepts. Take notes and incorporate a weekly outfit plan into your own routine. Your mornings will then be all that much sweeter. Here’s where to start.

Monday: Flowy Culottes

No matter how many times you fell asleep on the couch Sunday afternoon, you never seem to feel totally rested on Monday. To set a more positive tone for the week, go for the holy trinity of office fashion: professional, trendy and comfortable. Light-colored culottes add a bright contrast to a dark sweater, and a cropped suede jacket brings texture and warmth (especially when that office AC is cranking). To keep the look from feeling stuffy, round out the bunch with a heeled sandal.

Get the look: cropped trousers ($70); sleeveless mock turtleneck ($28); faux-suede blazer ($85); lace-up pumps ($120)

Tuesday: A Button-front Skirt

A midi skirt and striped blouse is the ultimate in fun retro style. (The ’70s are back, baby!) It’s demure and professional (especially if that skirt is in a rich suede) but still on trend and head turning. Finish with a neutral pump, and you’ll be the hot topic around the water cooler.

Get the look: striped blouse ($33); button-front skirt ($45); pointed-toe pumps ($80)

Wednesday: An Oversize Vest

This right here is classic sophistication--but with a twist. You’ve got your business-casual cropped trousers and timeless crewneck sweater. To take it to the next level, top it with a workwear vest or a sleeveless trench. In this case, three pieces are chicer than two.

Get the look: belted vest ($110); cropped pants ($70); boat-neck top ($22); kitten heel pumps ($70)

Thursday: White Jeans

Today at lunch: Skip the ketchup. (The fries can stay.) You’ve got some bright white pants to make a statement in. Keep the outfit tame by adding on a crisp chambray button-down and pointed flats. It’s simple and classy, but edgy enough that you’ll look like you mean business. Bonus points for rolling those sleeves.

Get the look: denim shirt ($40); white cropped pant ($70); lace-up flats ($90)

Friday: A Denim Shirt Dress

Finally, a day to give your waist a break. A little drawstring dress is relaxed while still being polished, and it capitalizes on the all-over denim comeback without looking like Britney and Justin circa 2001. Step into a stacked-heel bootie (in brown or tan, not black) and you’ve got the ideal casual Friday office outfit.

Get the look: denim dress ($100); suede fringe booties ($74)

Saturday: A Cold-shoulder Blouse

If there’s one new trend to adopt this spring, it should be the off-the-shoulder top. Your skin is screaming for a little sun by now, but otherwise you’re tastefully covered up. Toss one on over some cuffed denim and a strappy sandal, and you’re ready for wherever your Saturday adventures take you.

Get the look: off-the-shoulder top ($90); boyfriend jeans ($40); lace up sandals ($80)

Sunday: Flared Jeans

Flare jeans: old school, classic and crazy flattering. This high-waist denim cut is a universal style, complimenting your shape no matter what it is. For a foolproof brunch look, tuck in a pretty short-sleeve blouse and balance out the length with some chunky platforms. With a sweet outfit like this, the end of the weekend won’t feel like such a downer.

Get the look: flare jeans ($47); chiffon shirt ($45); platform sandals ($100)
