The thing I love most about Los Angeles (other than the fact that it practically always feels like summer) is just how dog-friendly the city is. So really, it's no surprise that I find myself reaching for my Lands' End canvas pet carrier *every single weekend.* I've tried a few different styles of carriers and there are quite a few reasons why I carry this exact one again and again. And now that it's half off, I thought it would be the perfect time to share them.

Lands' End

Getting the obvious reason out of the way, this carrier is cute. It looks super similar to the brand's other canvas totes, but features a cutout where your pet can peek out—which my dog definitely takes advantage of wherever we're headed. You can also add custom embroidery to one or both sides of the bag. I opted for the adorable dog in a striped sweater on one side (I mean, how could I not?!), which you can see in the photo above, and my pup's name on the other. And if you do add on some embroidery, you have tons of designs to pick from. There are more than 100 embroidery design options (including everything from animals to palm trees, fruits, books and more) and you also have the option of adding your initials or a word up to ten characters in six different fonts.

Besides the bag's customizable design, I also love that the shoulder straps are the perfect length to feel comfortable and are outfitted with textured material on the underside to keep them from slipping. There's also a sturdy pad at the bottom for your pet to sit or stand on and a safety hook that you can attach to their collar or harness. The cotton canvas fabric is so lightweight too and though it's meant to be spot-cleaned only, I've admittedly tossed mine in the washer without any issues. BTW, the bag can accommodate a pet that's up to 20 pounds in weight and 11-inches tall.

It's also more affordable than a lot of other options out there—especially now that you can snag it at half-off, which makes the price less than $30. Yeah, this is the perfect time to customize one for your own pet.
