Talk about serious buzz! The new sci-fi comedy film, They Cloned Tyrone, just arrived on Netflix, and it's clearly caught the attention of streamers. The flick just jumped into the top spot on Netflix's list of most-watched movies only twenty-four hours after it was uploaded to the site. Now, it sits above other recent hits, like the Pierce Brosnan-led comedy The Out-Laws and the highly-anticipated thriller Bird Box Barcelona. Check out the trailer below.

The star-studded affair features John Boyega (The Force Awakens), Jamie Foxx (Ray) and Teyonah Parris (If Beale Street Could Talk) as three unlikely collaborators who find themselves teaming up to solve a strange government conspiracy after one of them (Boyega) seemingly gets cloned.

Throughout They Cloned Tyrone, the trio tries to solve the scientific mystery while navigating their retrofuturistic world, and things get quite complicated (and comical) in the process.

Not only is They Cloned Tyrone clearly a hit with viewers, but it also won glowing reviews from critics. Currently, the genre-bending film has an impressive 92-percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, and its critical consensus reads: “They Cloned Tyrone is provocative, clever sci-fi with an exceptional cast.”

The trending movie had a limited theatrical run a week before its release to Netflix, and it originally premiered at the American Black Film Festival on June 14.

In addition to its impressive leads, They Cloned Tyrone also features stars like Kiefer Sutherland (24), David Alan Grier (Streamers), J. Alphonse Nicholson (Just Mercy), Tamberla Perry (All American: Homecoming) and more.

Any movie that can get people to tune in on the same weekend that Barbie and Oppenheimer hit theaters must be really good.
