Fans are still reeling after last night’s episode of The Bachelor, where Grant Ellisnarrowed down the women to the final four who will embark on hometown dates next week. Although many were surprised by the bombshell elimination, I totally saw it coming.
On last night’s episode of The Bachelor, the dramatic rose ceremony concluded with Grant sending home an original frontrunner, Carolina, who has been the source of pretty much all the drama in season 29.
Some fans were surprised by the elimination, but I have to admit that I saw it coming weeks ago thanks to one major clue: the drama queen never wins. Although Caroline’s connection with Grant has been strong from the start, she has done nothing but cause chaos ever since she had a one-on-one date in week three.
I noticed a pattern in her downfall, and it seems that she used drama as a way to get more time with Grant. And in the end, it backfired.
In week three, Carolina had a rose and still stole Grant away from others at the cocktail party. The drama continued the following week when she was on a group date, had a great conversation with Grant and then proceeded to steal him multiple times from women who had much less time with him.
A similar situation occurred on the most recent episode when Grant invited Carolina on a group date in Scotland. At one point, Carolina pulled him aside for an unnecessarily long conversation where she expressed doubts about their connection. The group date was cut short due to weather, and the other women were frustrated because Carolina’s chat took up the majority of the time with Grant.
I don’t blame Carolina for raising concerns…if the concerns are genuine. However, if there’s one takeaway from her elimination, it’s that drama gets you nowhere on reality TV.
