HBO's The Last of Us is now all the rage. Clocking in an impressive 96 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, the post-apocalyptic drama has eight Emmy Awards under its belt and is considered one of the best video game adaptations. Plus, it now stands as the second-largest debut for HBO since 2010 (after House of the Dragon). With its top-notch storytelling, nail-biting suspense and mystical elements, it's no wonder the series has become a huge hit. But if you asked me, I'd say the main selling point is the incredible chemistry between the show's leads, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.
If you're unfamiliar with the plot of The Last of Us, it's set in a broken world that's been plagued by a mass fungal infection, which causes people to turn into zombies. However, Joel (Pascal), a tough-as-nails survivor, is tasked with escorting a young girl named Ellie (Ramsey) out of the quarantine zone, and it turns out there's more to her than meets the eye.
Now, it was only a few days ago when I finally realized that Ramsey played the iconic Lyanna Mormont—the niece of Lord Commander Jeor Mormont—on Game of Thrones.
