The New #5 Show on Netflix Is a Reality TV Must-Watch

This brand-new Netflix release is a must-watch for reality TV fans.

Introducing Bling Empire, which is a cross between The Real Housewives and Crazy Rich Asians. The series just premiered on the streaming service last week, and it’s already claimed the number-five spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched TV shows. (It’s currently ranked behind Night Stalker, Bridgerton, Henry Danger and L.A.’s Finest.)

Similar to Selling Sunset, Bling Empire follows a group of people living in Los Angeles. What sets it apart is all the stars are wildly wealthy socialites of Asian and Asian-American descent. The series follows the group as they attend parties, gossip amongst each other and visit L.A.’s hottest restaurants. (It was filmed before the coronavirus pandemic.)

Though, to an avid reality TV viewer (hi) some of the “real” scenes seem staged by producers, (like when Kelly Mi Li’s boyfriend, Andrew Gray, explodes on her over the phone in Paris), what great reality program isn’t a little produced?

In addition to Mi Li and Gray, Bling Empire also stars Christine Chiu, Kevin Kreider, Kim Lee, Kane Lim, Jamie Xie, Cherie Chan and Anna Shay.
