Taylor Swift isn't the only one transforming her major concert event into a movie experience. Turns out, Beyoncé, 42, is bringing The Renaissance World Tour to theaters across the U.S. and Mexico on December 1.

On Sunday, October 1, Queen Bey closed the last stop of her tour in Kansas City, Missouri by playing a trailer for a new movie titled, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé. Check it out below.

“When I am performing, I am nothing but free,” Beyoncé says at the beginning of the clip.

This new concert film will not only consist of footage from the Renaissance World Tour, but it will also document the creation of the singer’s seventh studio album, Renaissance (2022).

When the Renaissance album was released in July 2022, the Destiny’s Child alum teased that there would be visuals tied to the songs. However, fans had yet to see those visuals...until now, because Variety reports that the film will include the clips related to the songs, in addition to the concert footage.

In what was perhaps a cheeky reference to fans’ hunger for the visuals, Beyoncé captioned the film announcement by writing: “Be careful what you ask for, ‘cause I just might comply.”

As we can see from the teaser, the film will also feature background footage of Beyoncé's family (let's not forget that her scene-stealing daughter, Blue Ivy, 11, joined her on stage for a number of shows).

The Renaissance World Tour was recently named the highest-grossing concert tour by a female artist ever, surpassing Madonna’s Sticky & Sweet Tour to claim the title. While final numbers have yet to be set, the “Halo” singer’s musical event has grossed over $450 million worldwide.
