As a true crime lover, I will never turn down a thrilling series about a mystery—especially one I’ve never heard about before. Up next on my watch list is Amy Bradley is Missing, which chronicles a 23-year-old woman's disappearance off a cruise ship in 1998 as it arrived in the Caribbean island of Curaçao. Bradley’s case has been cold for nearly thirty years, with investigators at a loss as to what happened. The documentary features interviews with Bradley’s family, friends and the law enforcement personnel who worked her case, including Adtzere “John” Mentar, the lead investigator who has always insisted that if Bradley had gone overboard the ship, they would have been able to find evidence.

The ultimate crime drama

“I’m telling you, if she came off the ship or fell off the ship, we would get a body,” Mentar can be heard saying in the film, which also includes archival footage of Amy from when she was in high school and college. In the 27 years it’s been since her disappearance, there are still no answers as to what happened to her despite the FBI taking on the case.
While the doc doesn’t currently have any Rotten Tomatoes ratings or reviews, the comments underneath the trailer are positive. “I’m so glad Amy’s case is getting widespread attention again. I think about her often,” writes one reviewer. “Cannot imagine the pain and anguish the Bradley family endures. What love to never give up. I remember when this happened, and all these years later still hope Amy will be reunited with her loving family. Praying this doc will bring new info, new sightings and ultimately Amy’s safe return,” adds another.
