We're no strangers to the popular SolaWave skincare wand. (We tested it and found that it minimized our dark circles and made our fine lines less noticeable after a few weeks.) We loved it even more when we discovered the device was responsible for Pedro Pascal's glow at the Oscars this year. Well, a new version just dropped on April 7, and the SolaWave Radiant Renewal skincare wand upgrades are based on customer feedback to include twice the red light therapy than the old version, so you can reportedly get clearer, glowing skin faster and a new Galvanic current, which promotes serum absorption and boosts your skin's radiance, among other things.

Other key differences between this 2.0 version and the original model is the new one has an on/off button (vs. touch activation), seven LED lights (vs. five), a 180-degree head rotation (vs. 90-degree), and it comes with a travel case. But most importantly, it uses Galvanic current (vs. microcurrent), which is supposed to amplify product absorption deep within the skin so you can reap the benefits in no time.

In short, these upgrades are supposed to make the device even better at rejuvenating skin, reducing the appearance of dark circles and puffiness—all while encouraging an immediate glow. This TikTok offers a quick explanation in case you're thinking of scooping one up.

Now is actually a great time to buy the new device since it's in stock and under $170. Also, with therapeutic warmth (at a maximum of 100 degrees) and low vibration, it's meant to provide a spa-like experience, which reviewers are super into.

One shares, "I like the sensation of the micro currents. I do feel like my skin has shown some improvement since incorporating this into my night routine. After using the wand, I apply my serums and night cream. I was up in the morning with fresh, plump skin. I definitely like the 2.0 version better than the initial wand. I also love that they included a carrying case for easy travel."

Oh, and did we mention the new device has magnetic charging and a two-hour battery life? That means you'll have more than enough juice to use it all over the face, including the forehead, brows, cheeks, upper lip, under eyes and chin.

So you can say bye-bye to dark circles and puffiness and hello to smoother, glowing skin.
