Shopping Editor Holiday Wish List for 2026
Stephanie Maida for PureWow

Being a shopping editor has its perks—I’m usually the first to know about all the latest and greatest products out there—but it also requires a lot of self control. Tempting as it is amidst all my online retail research, I can’t be putting pedal to plastic with my credit card all day, every day. That doesn’t mean I haven’t compiled a mental shopping list about a mile long, however—one that I’ll happily share with friends and family the moment they ask what I want for Christmas.

Sure, I’ve been dreaming about a fanciful splurge or two—mother-of-pearl caviar spoons and a $200 growth factor serum among them—but otherwise I’m all about an elevated staple: nice cotton sheets, a quality cashmere sweater, a bottle of champagne vinegar (OK, maybe I’m pushing the meaning of “staple” with that last one, but I stand by it). Apologies in advance to my boyfriend and sister, but here’s everything on my holiday wish list—and a few things you might want to add to yours.

I love a good lounge set. After trying Negative’s viral Whipped fabric pieces (which are as soft and dreamy as everyone says), I’m hoping to get my hands on the brand’s Waffle Knit next. This pullover-and-jogger pairing is made primarily of cotton with a touch of spandex, and appears to be more substantial for the colder months.

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: Cozy Earth’s sheets changed my life. Specifically, this soft-wash cotton set, which kept me cool and comfortable through my first Los Angeles summer and has made bedtime feel like a total luxury. As a year-round hot sleeper, I don’t have any plans to stop using these in the winter, but I’m definitely in need of another set to keep in rotation.

To me, burgundy is a neutral. And since I need a versatile bag that I can don from daytime outings to nighttime events, I’ve got this Coach Tabby—which can convert from a crossbody to a shoulder bag—high on my radar. I love the vintage look of its soft-grain leather, as well as that gorgeous pairing of burgundy and gold—such a rich, classic color combo. I also appreciate that the 26 is roomy enough to stash my phone and then some without being too bulky.

I moved across the country earlier this year and I’m still in the process of setting up my space. Next up: a stylish jewelry box to top my nightstand—and finally give me somewhere to store all the accessories gathering dust in my suitcase. I’m swooning over the burl wood design of this one from Pottery Barn. Its four drawers offer plenty of storage, while dedicated compartments on top keep rings and earrings organized.

OK, this one is a little niche, but stay with me. I’m obsessed with Edward Gorey—the late, great writer and artist behind some famously spooky books and illustrations (including the iconic intro to PBS’s Mystery! in the 1980s and '90s). So when Heretic, the equally niche and spooky fragrance brand, released a collection of room sprays with official Gorey artwork, it immediately shot to the top of my wish list. Given that I enjoy the more gothic aspects of winter and the holiday season, this O Tannenbaum scent is calling my name. The brand describes it as “festive and faintly haunted,” with notes of balsam fir, pine needles, juniper, cedar, frankincense and myrrh.

Would I spend $200 on a face serum? Possibly. Would I prefer someone else spend $200 on a face serum for me? Absolutely. You know, if they insist on splurging. I’ve heard so many good things about Dr. Diamond’s Metacine and this formula in particular. I’m way too squeamish to try a real-deal PRP treatment (aka the vampire facial), which involves applying platelet-rich plasma (aka blood) to the face, but this serum purports to mimic the rejuvenating effects with bio-engineered growth factors. No needles required!

I can’t ask my BF for this one—he’d be like, “Seriously, another skincare device?!” But unlike my Lyma laser wand, NuFace microcurrent machine and Medicube Booster Pro X2, this gadget heats and cools to boost circulation, treat puffiness and instantly revitalize the skin, especially around the under-eye and jawline area (precisely where I need it after a long night or salty meal). And it’s a lot less messy than an ice roller or face dunk. Guys just don’t get it.

You know what they say: Dress (your table) for the life you want. Well, I want a life that involves semi-regular servings of caviar, so I’ll obviously need some mother-of-pearl spoons to manifest serve it with. In all seriousness, though, I hosted a fancy dinner party earlier this year and used those glossy black pearls as the edible centerpiece—talk about a crowd pleaser. These lovely spoons from Gohar—a brand that truly approaches hosting like the art it is—are just the thing to impress guests at my next soirée. Plus, they can also be used with cheese, dessert and other delicate bites.

IDK about you, but I can never have too many cashmere sweaters. The soft knit is ideal for throwing on for both crisp mornings and chilly evenings, but it’s breathable enough not to leave me drenched when the heat is cranked up. My collection is missing a slouchy V-neck like this Quince style—just oversized enough to look effortless without losing its elegance. Paired with a silk slip skirt? Quiet luxury perfection.

I swore that when I moved to L.A. I’d become a hiking person. I’m still working on that, but I think having a cute, functional pair of hiking shoes at the ready will give me the push I need to finally take on Runyon Canyon.

On the subject of hiking, and walking in general, I find immense satisfaction in tracking my steps—and breath, and heart rate, and sleep quality—on my Fitbit. Though my trusty Inspire 3 has lasted me for years, I’m ready for an upgrade. Lucky for me (and anyone else who finds the Apple Watch to be just a little too big for their wrist), Google is dropping the brand new Fitbit Edge just in time for gifting season. It’s said to offer even more precise exercise tracking and health insights with a similarly sleek and lightweight design.

I’m not usually a sleep mask person, but after one recently came to my rescue during a particularly restless night, I’ve become a believer. I found that more so than its light-blocking abilities, it was the feeling of the mask’s extra weight that really seemed to relax my tired eyes. So a mask that’s specifically designed to provide soothing pressure can only lead to even better results. This one from Bearaby is filled with natural Terraclay that cradles the eyes and head to help ease tension and carry you off to dreamland. I’ll take two.

There is a lot to be said about artisanal olive oil. But the pantry essential I’m more interested in? That would be its fermented companion, vinegar. I just feel like the condiment lends itself to more complexity and variation in flavor—not to mention the fact that I pour it all over everything from salads to scrambled eggs. So to please my palate and take my dressings up a notch, I’m sending out a request for Brightland’s Vinegar Duo. It comes with both a classic balsamic and its signature champagne vinegar, a citrus-forward creation made from a blend of California chardonnay grapes and navel and Valencia oranges. Presented in some very chic bottles, might I add.

Consider these another step toward achieving my dream gothic tablescape. These vintage-inspired ceramic candlestick holders are made in Italy and decoratively carved based on designs from the 19th century. And in true Italian fashion, they’re sure to bring the drama—whether they’re flickering with a dripping wax candle next to a bottle of Barolo or on dormant display on my bookshelf.

Little luxuries make the ultimate stocking stuffers. Like, say, a $24 tinted lip balm that appears to be permanently glued to the hands of every cool girl on Instagram lately. I myself have yet to try this Eadem lippie, but I’m very intrigued by its peptide-packed, moisturizing formula that promises to plump and nourish my pout while giving it a shiny splash of color.
