ICYMI: Bobs are having a moment right now. While Selena Gomez is no stranger to a short chop, she recently brought back an iconic haircut for summer. The Only Murders in the Building star debuted her new look on Instagram and it's truly giving a grown up version of her "Naturally" lob circa 2009.

Gomez shared a selfie, sporting her choppy lob with shaggy bangs. She paired her new 'do with a vibrant orange lip and rosy cheeks (no doubt Rare Beauty) along with a fluffy robe. She captioned the post, "I would, but I'd regret it, then get it redone so I simply wont #bangs."
Her comments were flooded with loads of fire emojis along with her fans and glam team praising the look. (It also currently has 1.2 million likes on IG!) And while doing some digging, I discovered her longtime hairstylist Orlando Pita was behind the new haircut.
The celebrity hairstylist shared additional photos with the singer on his own Instagram, writing, "Having a fun day playing with @selenagomez 💇🏻♀️"
While his comments were similar to Gomez's, many fans began speculating her haircut has to do with a new project, specifically the Linda Ronstadt biopic. In January 2024, many reports revealed she will be playing the 11-time Grammy winner. There hasn't been any news about the production since, however, OMITB did just wrapped up filming...
Now, it's not the first time she wore this bob style. In March 2022, she surprised her fans with this shaggy lob (also done by Pita). She wrote, "New hair who dis?" Her go-to makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, even did a callback to this caption, sharing his own selfie with the star and her trendy lob.
Although this look can possibly be a wig or install, we can all agree that Selena can pull off just about any haircut.
