Hot days, long nights, jet lag and a lot less sleep than usual—so describes how my summer's been going so far. And while puffy under-eyes are a price I'd happily pay for spending quality time with my friends on a rooftop, chatting over wine into the wee hours, there reaches a point when my skin needs some intervention. Luckily, I've found a great solution in the new Hyper Eyes masks ($25) from Loops.

The beauty brand has earned a cult following for its affordable sheet masks, which are also loved by celebrities from Hailey Bieber to Serena Williams, so when it launched the instant-wakeup Hyper Eyes patches in the midst of my summer shenaniganing, I knew I had to try them.

Made with a blend of caffeine (zing!), hydrating niacinamide and brightening ingredients like tranexamic acid and alpha-arbutin, the masks promise refreshing relief for tired eyes, along with a reduction in bags and dark circles. After giving them a go myself, I can happily report that they don't disappoint.

Loops

The best way I could describe them is as a cool glass of water for my (lately, perpetually) tired under-eye area, and my skin is happy to drink it all up. They're made of hydrogel, which is thicker and cooler than those papery sheet masks, and they deliver an instant soothing sensation.

Two bonuses that I also find set them apart from other eye masks? One, each pair comes in a plastic clamshell container, so they're easy to open and remove from their packaging (I hate when I have to claw masks out from the bottom of a pack). Two, they cover a greater surface area than many other eye masks I've tried, so more of my skin can soak in the benefits. The result: My puffiness calms immediately after using them, which in turn helps reduce the shadowy look beneath my peepers.

My takeaway? If the trade-off of a few fun, late nights means slapping on the Loops Hyper Eyes masks come morning, I'm more than willing to invest the $25 in a five pack (or three). After all, I have all winter to hibernate.
