Laverne Cox Gives Us Vintage Glam & Marilyn Monroe Hair on the Golden Globes Red Carpet

Look out, Ana de Armas because another major celeb is embracing the Marilyn Monroe look.

The 80th Golden Globes are tonight, a ceremony that officially kicks off award season (which not only means a lot for pop culture fans, but also for us fashion devotees who anxiously await each red carpet). Ahead of the major event, Laverne Cox is hosting E!'s red carpet coverage, and the Orange Is the New Black actress started the evening off strong by pulling out a totally chic dress and a surprising new hairdo.

Cox looked like a Roman goddess as she walked the red carpet in a vintage John Galliano SS07 RTW gown (props to the @checkthetag Instagram account for making that find).

The stola-esque dress hung in swirls around the actress and it was adorned with shiny golden patterns. However, once we were able to pull our eyes from the outfit styled by Christina Joy Pacelli, we couldn't help but focus on Cox's totally new hairdo.

It appeared as if the Inventing Anna star took a page out of Monroe's book, as she debuted a short, blond, curly hairstyle that strongly resembled the blonde bombshell's cut from the early ’60s.

Cox has been rocking a blonde 'do for quite some time now, and she's sported a few different short looks in episodes of her talk show, If We're Being Honest with Laverne Cox. However, we've never seen her hair styled quite like this. Also, in case you missed it, Cox's locks were accessorized with a diamond leaf brooch from Fred Leighton.

Talk about starting the night off on a high note! So glam, Laverne.
