Here's the thing—my skin is perpetually dry year-round, but when cooler temps hit and I inevitably find myself dealing with a ton of travel over the holidays, it practically starts flaking off. So, naturally, any chance I have to give it a boost of hydration I jump on, which is why I was excited to see that one of my go-to clean beauty retailers, Credo, just released a body care line that's totally focused on hydrating skin.

To test if the line is really worth it when it comes to quenching the thirst of my fellow dry skin sufferers, I used the Serenity Mineral-Rich body wash ($34) during my daily shower, and followed up with both the Seascape Ceramide body serum ($52) and Submerge Green Algae body cream ($48) over several days. Keep reading for all my thoughts.

Before I get into my experience, you should know that Credo's cruelty-free, vegan body care items are centered around the ingredient sugar kelp, which purportedly protects your skin's barrier while also increasing hydration, per the brand. Each of the three products are also formulated to the Credo Clean Standard, which prohibits the use of more than 2,700 potentially harmful chemicals, meaning you can feel even better about letting the lush formulas sink into your skin. The line has been dermatologist-tested, too, and deemed recommended for all skin types.

Now, onto my own thoughts. First up, let's get into the Serenity Mineral-Rich body wash, which, in addition to the sugar kelp, also includes exfoliating ingredients like French sea salt and lactic acid to smooth your skin and increase its radiance. One of the first things I noticed about this soap is its incredible smell. True to its formulation, it has a marine-like scent that I think people of any age and gender would love. The product itself feels nourishing (and not at all watered down as some soaps can) from the get-go. It spreads smoothly over my skin and I find that I don't need to use a lot of it to feel like I got a good cleanse—though it's worth noting the bottle is on the small side (9.46 ounces) for its price. The only downside I noticed here was that it does leave a slight grittiness on the bottom of my shower, but it certainly isn't bothersome enough to keep me from using it.

As for the Seascape Ceramide body serum, I love the way this serum glides on and absorbs quickly. This one features ingredients like red algae extract and Barpull G microalgae that, according to the brand, help to improve the overall look of your skin over time while improving its elasticity and firmness. Plus, there are other ingredients focused on improving (you guessed it) hydration and barrier function, like polyglumatic acid and an active ceramide complex. For a serum, this actually has a pretty thick texture that feels more lotion-like and could definitely be used on its own, especially if your skin isn't on the super dry side like mine is (or if you use it during the summer when you might not need as much added moisture).

And finally, the Submerge Green Algae body cream just might be my favorite of the bunch. I definitely notice a boost of softness to my skin when I layer this over the serum, as opposed to using the serum on its own, and love the soft marine citrus scent that, again, feels genderless, and also like it can easily blend with a lot of perfumes. The cream is packed with nourishing key ingredients like blue sea kale, squalaneshea butter and green algae extract that, in addition to moisturizing, aid in cell renewal and anti-inflammation, per the brand. Like the other products, it blends in easily and quickly, so I don't have to wait for it to sink in before getting dressed, and can still feel the moisturizing effects the morning after I apply it. This is one I have a feeling I'll keep coming back for.

If you can't already tell, it's safe to say I'm a big fan of Credo's new body care products. And considering all three are already earning tons of rave reviews—one buyer shared, "Using the Credo Submerge Green Algae Body Cream has elevated my daily routine to a self-care ritual. The texture is rich yet absorbs beautifully, leaving my skin feeling deeply hydrated without any greasiness. Its fresh, subtle scent reminds me of a serene spa experience,"—I'd suggest snagging them for yourself soon if you don't want to risk them selling out.
