The Most Beautiful Wedding Venues in San Francisco

Playlists and table assignments can be changed at the last minute, but your venue is one thing you’ve got to get locked down. And if you pick the right place, every photo op will be picture perfect—even the shot of you with your eyes half closed. So here’s a list of the most stunning venues in SF, plus one across the bridge for good measure. Now start practicing your “I do.”

Petaluma’s the New Hot Spot (We Promise) and Here’s Where to Go

Presidio Log Cabin

Forget that you’re even in the city at this woodsy lodge smack in the middle of the Presidio. It’s got a large lawn with bay views, a hardwood dance floor and all the charm you could ask for. But book very far in advance—this spot is one of the most popular venues in town.

Bently Reserve

Channel the Roaring ’20s at this historic venue, which dates back to 1924, when it operated as the city’s Federal Reserve. The venue has light-filled entryways perfect for pictures, a private couple’s lounge and an outdoor balcony.

301 Battery St.; 415-294-2226 or bentlyreserve.com

Conservatory Of Flowers

If flowers are a top priority for you, consider hosting your wedding among a beautiful manicured garden and greenhouse in Golden Gate Park. The great lawn and orchid pavilion are perfect for ceremonies, and guests have access to the conservatory’s different galleries throughout the night.

Flood Mansion

Corinthian columns, an arched entrance, a private courtyard and a grand piano—this mansion designed in Italian Renaissance style is truly one of the most elegant locations for a wedding. We heard that Chelsea Clinton even toasted a bride and groom here.

2222 Broadway; 415-292-3142 or floodmansion.org

Golden Gate Club

Historic treaties were once signed in this Spanish Colonial Revival-style building that used to be a service club for men in the military. Now couples can take advantage of sweeping Golden Gate Bridge views through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

135 Fisher Loop; 415-561-5444 or presidio.gov

cavallo point san francisco wedding venues
CAVALLO POINT

Cavallo Point

OK, so this one’s not technically in SF, but the historic Cavallo Point is truly one of the most romantic spots to say “I do.” Wedding packages include mini dessert and candy stations, plus the option for late-night snacks (including grilled cheese, sliders and mini waffles). Or you can go totally custom and design every detail yourself.

601 Murray Circle, Sausalito; 415-339-4776 or cavallopoint.com

Julia Morgan Ballroom

Architecture buffs will appreciate this classic designed by Willis Polk, Daniel Burnham and Julia Morgan, which sparkles with marble, gold leaf, bronze and a magnificent curved glass ceiling. And unlike busy hotels that host multiple events at the same time, you and your guests have full rein of the entire 15th floor.

465 California St.; 415-591-1833 or juliamorganballroom.com

The Pearl

From the main floor to the mezzanine to the rooftop terrace, this historic loftlike space in Dogpatch oozes with industrial charm for only the coolest—and biggest—of weddings. (It has a capacity of 700!) Highlights include beamed ceilings, skylights, a “living” roof and bespoke installations (like the gilded tree, pictured) by artist Alexis Laurent.

601 19th St.; 415-269-7171 or thepearlsf.com

City Hall

We’re lucky to have the prettiest city hall in the country, so why not get hitched in the same place where you’ll have to pick up your marriage license? (Two birds, one stone.) It even has a super-affordable wedding package for couples on a budget—$5,000 gets you a two-hour facility rental for up to 200 guests, plus chairs, tables and an on-site event manager.

1 Dr. Carlton B Goodlett Pl.; 415-554-6079 or sfcityhallevents.org

Haas-lilienthal House

If you’re the kind of bride who likes to make an entrance, this venue is for you. The grand staircase of this meticulously restored 1886 Victorian makes for an unforgettable intro. And it’s dressed to impress your guests from the outside, too. (Note: The venue is closed through September for upgrades.)
