If your kid’s favorite snack is apple and cheese slices, surprise them with this grilled cheese version: Crispy Sara Lee® Artesano™ Potato Bakery Bread with melted cheddar, mozzarella and sliced green apples. They might even ask for seconds on this one.
1 tablespoon mayonnaise, divided
2 slices Sara Lee Artesano Potato Bread, 20oz
2 slices Cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons shredded mozzarella cheese
4 to 6 thin slices green apple
1. Preheat a medium skillet over medium heat.
2. Spread half of the mayonnaise on one side of one slice of bread. Place the bread mayo-side-down in the skillet. Carefully layer one slice of cheddar, three slices of apple, the mozzarella, the remaining apple slices and the remaining slice of cheddar. Top and with the remaining slice of bread, and spread the remaining mayonnaise on top. Cook until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted, flipping as needed, 8 minutes.
