Lox Bagel with Scallion and Dill Cream Cheese
This is your recipe for those days when all you want is comfort food. Plus, it requires zero cook time—that’s always a win in our book. Add scallion, fresh dill and a little heavy cream to plain cream cheese, then toast an everything bagel in a Café Express Finish Toaster. Top the bagel with the cream cheese mixture and fresh lox. *Chef’s kiss.*
¾ cup (170g/6 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature
1 to 2 tablespoons heavy cream
2 tablespoons chopped scallions
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 everything bagel, halved
Lox, to serve
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1. In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese with a fork until smooth. Add the heavy cream and mix until it’s a fluffy, spreadable consistency. Fold in the scallions and dill.
2. Using a Café Express Finish Toaster, toast the bagel on the Bagel setting.
3. Top the bagel with some of the cream cheese mixture, the lox and salt and pepper to taste.
