Brussels sprouts, we love you, but we’re tired of standing over a smoking pan to make you crispy. So instead, we’re enveloping you in bacon and roasting you on a baking sheet. Presenting crispy bacon-wrapped Brussels sprouts: the crunch we crave, minus the charred aftertaste. They’re the ultimate party app.

Ingredients

1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved lengthwise

Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper

Two 16-ounce packages of bacon

2 tablespoons honey

Chopped chives, for serving

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Season the Brussels sprouts with salt and pepper.

2. Using a pair of kitchen shears, cut down the length of each piece of bacon to separate the darker half from the lighter, fattier half. Discard the lighter halves.

3. Securely wrap each sprout in a bacon strip and place it, seam side down, on a foil-lined baking sheet. Season with pepper.

4. Bake until the bacon is crisp and the Brussels sprouts are browning in places, 30 to 40 minutes. Drizzle the bacon-wrapped Brussels sprouts with honey and top with chives.
