Not everyone can afford to fly first class, but if you have a spare $30, you can eat like you’re flying in style from the comfort of your very own home (which boasts more legroom than even the fanciest of airlines). How’s that, you say? With United Airlines’s newly released cookbook. Take that, Ina!
Realistically, Ina Garten has nothing to worry about, but according to The Daily Meal, the 40 recipes included in the Polaris Cookbook are actually pretty delicious. Think less pretzels and biscuit cookies and more gluten-free tomato basil soup and sambal oelek chicken.
While the majority of the recipes included were created by United’s very own executive chefs, some come from chefs working with The Trotter Project, a nonprofit organization that helps young people from disadvantaged backgrounds learn the skills necessary to pursue careers in the restaurant industry. In fact, a portion of the proceeds from every book purchase will go back to The Trotter Profit.
