We Officially Have a Trailer for the New Adaption of ‘The Secret Garden’

We finally have a first look at the newest adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic children’s novel The Secret Garden.

The teaser trailer for the film was released on Monday and definitely gives us the magical vibes we were hoping for. Written by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and directed by Marc Munden, The Secret Garden is the first adaptation to hit the theaters since 1993.

Watch the full teaser trailer below.

The story follows the adventures of Mary Lennox, a 10-year-old orphan sent to live with her uncle in England, following her parents' death. After befriending her sick cousin, Colin (Edan Hayhurst), the two uncover family secrets, including a hidden—not to mention magical—garden.

Colin Firth (The King’s Speech) stars as the lord of the manor, with Julie Walters (Harry Potter) as the housekeeper and young Dixie Egerickx (The Little Stranger) as Mary.

No official release date yet, but The Secret Garden should debut sometime in spring 2020.
