Taylor Swift is Collaborating on a Clothing Line With One of Meghan Markle's Friends

“You Need to Calm Down” ... long enough for us to tell you that Taylor Swift and Stella McCartney, aka a friend to the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle, just unveiled a new fashion collaboration ahead of Swift’s Lover album release.

Swift made the announcement on her Instagram: “It’s been SO much fun to work/dream up cute stuff with my friend @stellamccartney to create a line inspired by my new album Lover,” she captioned the post.

Swift reveals that she and McCartney met at her concert in London, and started hanging out on the reg (and we wonder if Markle was present for any of these hangout seshes...).

“When I started spending more time in London, Stella and I would go on walks, have cocktails, and talk about life,” the “ME!” singer revealed to Vogue for her September cover issue. “So when it came time to write this album, I name checked her in one of my songs, and when I played her the album, I said, ‘Should we do something?’” Swift says.

The ready-to-wear and accessories collection is full of pastel hues, tie-dye, and Swift’s cats, and it will all be produced to meet McCartney’s high standards of sustainability. 

Fans are panicking over Lover, the singer’s new album, out on Aug. 23, and a possible engagement announcement (?!?). The 29-year-old Grammy winner has revealed she has used numerology and cryptic hints to leave fans special messages in her music. Thanks to an Instagram post she shared on Aug. 8, fans are convinced Swift is soon to be engaged to Joe Alwyn, her boyfriend of three years.
