She then directed fans to her website, where she posted a heartfelt, emotional letter that’s basically a love note to her journey—and to her fans.
“Hi. I'm trying to gather my thoughts into something coherent,” she wrote. “But right now my mind is just a slideshow… all the times I daydreamed about, wished for, and pined away for a chance to get to tell you this news.” She opened up about nearly giving up hope after 20 years of chasing ownership of her life’s work—only to finally make it happen.
Taylor revealed that she now owns everything: the music, the music videos, the concert films, the album art, the vault tracks—every single era is finally hers. “All of the music I've ever made… now belongs… to me,” she wrote.
She also gave credit where it’s due, thanking fans for their unwavering support. “The success story you turned The Eras Tour into is why I was able to buy back my music,” she explained. “I can't thank you enough for helping me reunite with this art that I’ve dedicated my life to.”
Of course, she also gave us a little update on Reputation (Taylor’s Version)—and it’s not quite ready yet. “Full transparency: I haven’t even re-recorded a quarter of it,” she admitted, calling it the one album she felt was already perfect. But she hinted that if it happens, it’ll be from a place of joy, not longing.
