Sophie Turner Is Voicing Princess Charlotte in New Animated Series, ‘The Prince’—& We Already Have a Clip

It looks like the Queen in the North, AKA Sophie Turner, will be taking on the role of another famous royal.

On Instagram, Family Guy producer Gary Janetti announced that the Game of Thrones star will be voicing Princess Charlotte in HBO Max's new animated series, The Prince. Alongside a new teaser from the series, he wrote, "Meet Charlotte - Sophie Turner @sophiet, The Prince coming to @hbomax."

In the funny clip, Prince George explains that he and his siblings are dressing up as the three little pigs for a Halloween party, but when his sister casually walks in dressed as Dorothy, he says, "What the hell, Charlotte, what are you wearing?" Charlotte then casually replies, "I changed my mind. Pigs are kind of gross."

Things only spiral downward from there, since Prince Louis also walks in dressed as a vampire. George asks, "What do I say when people ask me what I’m supposed to be?” And when Charlotte suggests that he go as Ariana Grande’s pet pig, he offers a sassy response, saying, "I’m not going as Piggy Smallz."

Not surprisingly, the announcement was met with enthusiasm from fans and celebrities alike. Kelly Ripa commented, "Finally, something to look forward to." And Sarah Michelle Gellar wrote, "Omg I LITERALLY CAN NOT WAIT." Turner's husband, Joe Jonas, also showed his support by posting the announcement to his Instagram Story, adding, "CANNOT WAIT!"

The Game of Thrones actress shared her excitement by commenting on the casting news on her Instagram Story. Adding a clever reference to her Sansa Stark role, she wrote, "Charlotte is coming! And I couldn’t be more honored to join this cast and go on this fun/filled adventure with @garyjanetti."

In addition to Turner, Gary Janetti will voice Prince George, Lucy Punch will be Kate Middleton, Iwan Rheon will play Prince William, Frances De La Tour will play Queen Elizabeth, Orlando Bloom will voice Prince Harry and Condola Rashad will play Meghan Markle. Other cast members include Alan Cumming as Owen and Tom Hollander as Philip and Charles.

Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max, said of the show, "We’re so excited to bring the world Gary’s created on Instagram over to HBO Max, where our viewers can discover what his Instagram fans already know—that George can be hilarious, shocking, and surprisingly sweet. We can’t wait to see what Gary does with a bigger canvas to paint on than just a 1:1 square."

One thing's for sure: We're ready for Turner's return to the small screen!!
