Here’s What Sophie Turner’s Dad Really Thinks of the Jonas Brothers

Sophie Turner is opening up about what her dad, Andrew, really thinks of her husband’s band, the Jonas Brothers.

The Dark Phoenix star, 23, recently appeared on an episode of The Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s podcast, The HFPA in Conversation, and revealed that her dad is just “getting into the Jonas Brothers.”

“They weren’t his demographic!” she said. “But he’s getting into them now, and he loves them, and the new music is fantastic.”

Although Andrew wasn’t initially a fan of the JoBros, Turner admitted that Joe Jonas scored bonus points simply for being a musician. “So yeah, my dad was beyond pleased when I married a musician because it was always kind of, ‘You have to marry a rugby player or a musician!’ So, I got one of them right,” she added.

Back in May, Turner and Jonas unexpectedly tied the knot at a ceremony in Las Vegas (Elvis Presley impersonator included). While it was supposed to be a private event, that all changed when their DJ, Diplo, livestreamed the wedding on Instagram.

The couple handled it like total pros, since they’re also planning a second wedding in France. Nevertheless, Turner revealed that she still hasn’t gotten used to being a wife.

“I keep going from boyfriend, to fiancé, to husband,” she added. “I can’t figure out what to say!”

On the bright side, Joe and his new father-in-law will have something to talk about at their next family gathering.
