You Could Get Paid $1,000 to Watch Shark Week This Summer

shark week

As 30 Rock's Tracy Jordan once wisely advised, "Live every week like it's Shark Week." And, dun dun dun dun, Shark Week is approaching rapidly, and this time, with major incentive: USDirect is offering $1,000 to one Shark Week-loving aficionado. Here's what we know.

To celebrate Shark Week, USDirect is looking to "fork over $1,000 to one brave soul willing to watch every minute of 2020 Shark Week." And fear not, the DIRECTTV dealer is not shark-biased, "We don’t care if you love lemon sharks more than hammerheads or sand sharks more than a hopeful vegetarian great white named Bruce."

How do you know if you're up for the job? According to the application page:

  1. You gotta love sharks—enough to celebrate them for a whole week.
  2. You have to be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident.
  3. You have to be willing to document your Shark Week marathon on your social media.

So yeah, you'll definitely be working for the money, posting a ton of content along the away about facts you've learned as well as ranking the programs with hashtag #SharkWeekDreamJawb.

Think you can swim with the sharks? Apply here, and psst, have your favorite shark fact ready.
