Ah, the pain points of shopping with a discount: You can never find the damn coupon when you actually need it, right? Well, Serta, the mattress company, just announced a genius—and Mother’s Day-themed—promotion. It’s called the “Your Baby is Your Coupon” sale.
It’s as simple as it sounds: Bring your baby to a participating retailer on Mother’s Day, and their very presence will net you a discount or gift with purchase valued at up to $300.
But that’s not all. The first mom to deliver a new baby and post about it on Mother’s Day 2019 will receive new Serta mattresses for mom and baby, plus a $3,000 babysitting fund to help them catch up on sleep. (Way to roll out the red carpet for sleep-deprived moms, Serta!)
The brand references research in Health Day as the reason for the baby-themed sale: “It’s well-known that parents of a newborn don’t get much sleep. In fact, they lose about 350 hours in the first year, making comfort essential for whatever sleep they do get.” Think of this as Serta’s attempt to be sure that when mom and dad are snoozing, they’re doing so in deep (and possibly king-size) comfort.
