Serena Williams isn’t a regular mom, she’s a cool mom (not to mention a four-time Olympic medalist with 23 Grand Slam titles).
Further solidifying her cool-mom status, the 37-year-old tennis legend played mini-me with her 1-year-old daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian. Williams just posted an Instagram picture of the two in matching 1950s-style pink poodle skirts that Rizzo would surely approve of.
In the photo, it looks like Williams is helping her daughter hold up a pink parasol to stay out of the sun, while wearing her own pair of circular sunglasses. The caption simply reads, “Pink things,” so we’re not sure what the occasion was (or if there was an occasion at all), but you can bet we double-tapped immediately. Way back in 2017 when Williams was still pregnant with her daughter, she did have a sock-hop themed baby shower…so maybe she just has a penchant for the ’50s?

Williams has been open in the past about motherhood, posting last fall about the day-to-day struggles of motherhood and feeling “like I was not a good mom.” More recently, she’s been offering parenting advice to friend and mom-to-be Meghan Markle, saying, “Accept mistakes and don’t expect to be perfect. We put so much pressure on ourselves.”
We totally get that. But from the looks of this picture, Serena, you’re doing great. (At least Alexis would agree.)
