The ‘Modern Family’ Cast Had a Reunion at Sarah Hyland’s Surprise Wedding with Wells Adams

We didn't know we'd be getting a Modern Family reunion this weekend, but when Sarah Hyland had a surprise wedding with her beau Wells Adams, many of her former castmates showed up to offer their love and support.

It's been three years since Adams proposed to Hyland, but the couple's initial ceremony was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, they've finally been given the opportunity to celebrate with all their loved ones, and it looks like their nuptials were quite the star-studded event.

Sofía Vergara was one of the strongest documenters of the wedding, and she posted a snap to her Instagram account that showed her and two other Modern Family alums—Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Nolan Gould—posing in a photo booth, along with Ferguson's husband, Justin Mikita, and a friend. Vergara captioned the photo, “#sarahandwells wedding.”

But those weren't the only Modern Family cast members in attendance. Vergara also posted a photo to her Story, where she was seen seated during the ceremony next to her son, Manolo Gonzalez. However, situated behind the pair was Julie Bowen (AKA Claire Dunphy), who Vergara tagged. Bowen is seen sporting a matcha-colored dress with a floral brooch pinned to one shoulder.

Vergara gave us a better look at her own dress in another post she made, which she captioned, “Wedding weekend,” along with emojis of a heart and the sun.

The America's Got Talent judge opted for a black-and-white Bambah design with a floral pattern, which she paired with a Maison Valentino clutch. The outfit was actually two matching pieces—a crop top that featured a floral accessory on the bust, along with a flowing maxi skirt.

Fellow celebs showed their love for Vergara's outfit, like Heidi Klum, who said, “OK SUPERMODEL.”

Hyland and Adams's ceremony took place at the Sunstone Winery near Santa Barbara, California, according to E! News. Based on other photos Vergara posted to her Story, it appears the wedding included sunny walks through vineyards, outdoor dances under a decorated veranda and more.

The Chef star also posted an image to her Story of the couple's stunning three-tiered cake, which was adorned with floral sprigs and what appeared to be lemon slices. In front of the cake, there were also bouquets of pink and maroon roses.

While we haven't seen any photos of the bride and groom from the ceremony yet, the couple shared a few wedding-themed photos to their Instagram accounts in preparation for the event. A little over a week ago, they posted a set of black-and-white photos with a caption that read, “8.8.20. 2 years of would be marriage bliss. I Love You to Pluto and Back. Let’s make it official already.”
