Ryan Reynolds Finally Responds After Accidentally Shading the Spice Girls

Watchers of Ryan Reynolds’s new movie, 6 Underground, have a bone to pick with the actor and it’s all because of the Spice Girls.

Allow us to explain. If you haven’t seen the new Netflix film, there’s a moment where the famous Spice Girls song “Wannabe” plays on a car radio and Reynolds’s character immediately rips the radio out of the car, signaling his dislike (or by this reaction, hate) for the music.

Fans quickly had questions for the Deadpool actor. “What does @VancityReynolds have against @spicegirls? #6Underground,” one fan wrote on Twitter. "@VancityReynolds please tell me you don't realy hate @spicegirls that much #wannabe #6Underground," asked another

The 43-year-old cleared up the confusion. “The song was added in post production. I would NEVER interrupt the Spice Girls. Never. Especially during a car chase. That’s when I’d need them most,” he responded to the Tweet.

However, that wasn’t the end of the discussion. During an interview with Yaaas TV, Reynolds was asked about the same moment.

“I specifically asked for something else,” Reynolds said. “Something other like an old 98 Degrees song or something like that, that I would rip out...the fact that Michael effing Bay put in Spice Girls—which by the way, where I'm from, in my house, that's a religion, man. When my wife finds out that I rip out a radio because the Spice Girls is playing, I'm a dead man. They're amazing, the Spice Girls.”

Phew, that was a close one.
